Harvesting
Module

Theory

  • Solar passive design and how to orient your home so it traps  natural phenomena to heat and cool the space

  • How to design your home according to fiboonacci proportions and harmonious musical waves. We will discuss Bio Geometrical theory that applies to architecture and also cover the basics of Feng Shui.  This will allow for your future home to integrate with your surrounding living environment.

  • Placement of upper circular windows to welcome the Sunlight beams as well as marking of the equinoxes and solstices. This simple practice will connect the home to celestial bodies and make you aware of lunar and solar cycles.

  • We will cover the right dome geometries such as roman and lancet arch. We will discuss catenary shapes and why they are so strong. We will also go into advantages as well as disadvantages of double curvature (domes) as well as single curvature (Vault) structures.

  • We will cover the planning of your plumbing for toilet and showers

  • You will learn how to work with chains and compasses in order to create lanet and roman arch geometries for your homes. We will discuss placement of the key line in order for your home to have greater height.

  • We will show you how to legalise dome structures with our counties and municipalities.

Foundation work

  • The foundation itself will be build from long sandbags filled with stabilised earth at a  proportions of 1 part cement to  5 - 10 parts earth. This makes this medium up to 30x times cheaper then a conventional brick.

  • Sandbags allow for incredible free style curvilinear building style.

  • We will dig out the foundations and install the damp course to prevent capillary action of water siphoning upwards in your walls.

  • We will create an accurate connection between two mediums gripping Air Crete to the sand bag

Walls & electrical

  • The sand bags will continue up until belly button level allowing you to use a wall as a comfortable leaning surface.

  • In this lesson you will learn the practicalities of barbwire installation in order to create structures  which have a balance of tension and compression working hand in hand together. This allows for the construction of super strong structures which mimic Natures Geometrical genius

  • From 0.5 m wall height we will contonue with Dome Gaia Air Crete brick technology which allows for large  large window designs and has tremendous R value insulation properties.

  • You will learn how to make your own eco foam from non toxic soap. We will go into precision of the actual  proportions of water to foam & cement ratios

  • You will learn how to construct tire walls with a ferro cement / yurt NON DOME ceiling.

  • We will also cover the construction of single curvature Vaults which are straight rooms with rounded ceilings. 

Openings
& Arches + butresses

  • We will construct special forms which we will pour air crete into. These forms are designed to take optimal amount of ready mix.

  • We will pour the air crete into the forms and construct a giant knife which can slice Air Crete "cakes" up into smaller bricks. 

  • We will discuss the importance of butresses when constructing geometrical spherical buildings and how big the buttress needs to be in order to withstand the outwards pressure from the openings.

  • You will learn a tried and tested method on how we can insert doors and windows into our structures.

  • We will discuss a way to make your own smaller portal windows that can open and close.

  • We will build an entire window frame off - site and position into the wall

Ceiling & skylight

  • When reaching the upper levels closing up the  tighter curvature you will learn how to shape the Air Crete bricks and sandbags so they create a "snug" fit.

  • You will learn how to place counter weights in order for the bricks in the upper levels to stay in their position whilst in construction.

  • Combination of temperature stable mass in the sandbags and insulative properties of Air Crete will result in stable temperatures through out the year.

  • A useful skill in construction is the practical know how on concrete beam creation with a weaved ferro cement dome roof. This is very handy when making an underground water reservoir or building your home two storeys high.

  • The skylight is a very special 3D Almanac Calendar which is an original invention of mine . It will be made up from little glass diamond pieces with various glass beads and lazer cut wooden shapes which will allow for shadows and dots of colours to cast light spectra on your walls. This will mark off various solstices and equinoxes as well as  when to plant crops. This will be a collaborative communal effort to figure the details of this interstellar planting calendar. ( THIS IS A BONUS FEATURE TO FIRST 100 STUDENTS )

Plumbing, Electrical

  • We will install a low cost truck tire septic tank under a toilet. 

  • You will learn how to build an outdoor shower which will automatically drain to a constructed wetland 

  • We will connect the electrical as we go along and insert it into the folds of the sandbags and Air Crete bricks.

  • I will show you how to wire up a simple 12 volt system with an inverter, charge controller batteries and solar panels

  • Construction from start to finish of a low cost ferro cement water reservoir.  This 12000 Litre water tank will cost you 1/3 of a plastic one and will outlast it by an additional 100 + years. 

  • Construction of a 10000 Gal / 40000 litre underground water tank. Perfect opportunity to store water under a driveway / garage or even a house.

  • BONUS: How to convert a conventional pool into an eco pool so it  can be used as  back up storage that you can swim in, irrigate from & plumb it into your Bio Char water filter to be pressurised for home use 

Up Cycling
Module

  • How to construct  your own wetland for bath and shower water treatment . This will immediately create an additional bulk of water that can be safely used for irrigation of organic vegetables, flowers and herbs, without clogging the soil with soaps and phosphates.

  • How to use grey water that you bathed with yesterday to  flush your toilet today.

  • Wetlands of various shapes and sizes made from 3 different low cost, available materials.  Two wetland types  will be constructed: one with visible water and floating plants and another whereby water travels through the aggregate  without any visible water on the surface. No smell or mosquitos

  • How to construct a simple trench filled with garden waste so it can take your Kitchen grease trap water

  • How to create a sewerage treatment wetland and plant it out with aquatic plants. This wetland will treat all water from your biogas digester / septic tank safely with out any smell. We also include installation of  the biogas digester itself and priming it for methane production

About your trainer

Alosha is  a visionary leader designer, inventor, master geometer and water wizard. His passions lie with Creation of Heavenly earth in it’s most practical sense: Organic food ecological shelter, living water and transformation of Electro Magnetic Radiation into healing vibrations.

He has converted his suburban home into a self sustaining and self regenerative living organisms that is completely off the water and electrical grid without tapping into any ancient borehole water.

​

He has completed his degree in Creative Brand Communications at Vega and has attended over 11 international workshops on self sustainability in the fields of ecological housing , treatment of rain and UP cycling of waste water as well as growing of organic food. He has applied almost all of the practical wisdom that he has gathered from  live trainings at his experimental city garden in Johannesburg as well as on his previous rural experimentation farm.

Spending 3 years on a farm he worked with low cost dome shelters , food growing machines , earthworks, wetland constructions  and holistic ecological design.

His ethos is to catch what comes from the sky , treat waste water and garbage as assets and creatively use all these resources to create a self regenerative biospheres induced with beauty , life-force and spacial comfort.

What exactly will you learn at our Master Class ?

Site preparation and Foundation digging 

  • In this lesson you will learn how to mark your home on the ground and then how to dig out the actual foundation.

  • You will also learn how to use intuition and other tools to mark out a pond or any weird shape adjacent to your home

  • You will learn two simple methods to make sure that your foundation is level

  • We will allow space for plumbing and other needed pipes under the actual foundation bags

  • In this section we will also discuss how to make another type of foundation using tires as per Earthship methodology

Building of Sandbag walls and electrical integration

In this 90 minute presentation, from one of our live eco workshops, Thomas Linders presents the basics behind grey and black water wetland ecology. Thomas describes in detail a commercial wetland that he constructed for an upmarket hotel to treat all of their shower, bath and toilet water. This presentation will give you a very good understanding of what can be done with plants for water filtration whilst gently blending the eco filtration into the surrounding landscape. Our off-the-water-grid trailer consists of a variety low-tech biological and simple elements. It will process all kitchen water with a grease trap by removing the fats and the bits so the water can be used to passively feed the garden. 2 layered constructed wetlands will clean up all bath and shower water and get it to the level that this water can be used to bath and shower again.

She brought down a lot of ancient vedic knowledge on how we can get out of the current mess. I have read the books in Russian several times and have visited Russian eco villages. In this video I will pr provide you with a lot of details on how we can set up successful eco villages in the future.
