Consultancy and bio-architectural design services

 

For as long as I can remember, my passion has been rooted in mountain forests and rivers. My curvilinear design language draws inspiration not only from nature, but also from the pioneers of permaculture and bio-architecture who came before me.

 

As a biomimetic architect and natural builder, I’ve integrated the principle of “strength through geometry” with the concept of living machines — creating living bio-shelters that act as a second skin for humans.

 

After losing my own home to the bank, I committed to a new ethos: to design and share ways of building comfortable, resilient homes — without falling into debt.

My design is inspired by and includes the following:

• Biomimicry - using the laws of physics and earths' eco systemic designs

• Permaculture - language of patterns and stacking multiple functions 

• Bio-Architecture - homes that heat, cool, catch water, feed & produce oxygen

• Passive GreenHouse - to use laws of thermodynamics to tap & store heat from thermophilic bacteria and the sun

• Bio-Geometry - using energy of shape to balance the EMR within the home 

• Waste to resource - use tyres for foundations as well as cans & bottles

• Plants - growing an abundance of food producing plants that filter grey water for flushing the toilets 

• Low tech - simple methods of construction that can be build by a small crew

• Building without debt - being able to build a home even with a small income

Moving on to the land, changing lifestyle and building a home is a complex process with many variables and unforeseen challenges.

Now is the 7th time I am relocating on the land finally with peace in my heart and thus have much experience I can share:

• will you be outsourcing the construction, doing it yourself or working together with a team?

• how sensitive are you to electromagnetic radiation ?

• is the home for just you, a couple or a growing family?

• what is the appropriate angle of slope is your building site?

• are you going to be taking a bond to build or you will be paying for your build?

• If you are going to be paying for you own build, then do you have the entire sum upfront or will you be slowly building as finances become available?
